1. About Revolution808

Revolution808 (“the Platform”) is an online community for musicians and producers to share unfinished music and exchange constructive feedback. The Platform is owned and operated by a UK-based individual (“we”, “us”, “our”) and is accessible globally.

By accessing or using Revolution808, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility and Content Advisory

Revolution808 is intended for general audiences. There is no formal age restriction; however, some user-generated content may be unsuitable for minors due to language, themes, or subject matter.

Parents or guardians are advised to supervise minors’ use. We do not actively moderate content for age appropriateness unless it breaches these Terms or applicable laws.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Platform, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Platform.

4. User Content and Ownership

You retain full ownership of any music, audio, text, or other content you upload (“User Content”).

By uploading User Content to Revolution808, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, revocable licence to:

  • Host, store, and process the content
  • Display it to other users of the Platform
  • Enable playback and technical delivery (e.g., streaming, compression, backups)

This licence exists solely for the operation of the Platform and does not grant us any ownership, publishing, licensing, distribution, or commercial exploitation rights over your content.

Uploading content to Revolution808 does not:

  • Transfer copyright
  • Grant release, publishing, or placement rights
  • Create any obligation for us to promote, distribute, or exploit your work

5. Feedback and Community Interaction

Revolution808 is a feedback-based platform. All user feedback reflects personal opinion, not professional advice.

You acknowledge that:

  • Feedback quality and quantity are not guaranteed
  • You are solely responsible for how you interpret and act on feedback
  • We are not liable for creative, commercial, or reputational outcomes resulting from feedback
  • Respectful and constructive behaviour is expected at all times.

6. Moderation and Content Removal

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to:

  • Remove or restrict access to any content
  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Take moderation action without prior notice

This may occur where content or behaviour is deemed:

  • Abusive, harmful, or disruptive
  • Low-effort, spam-like, or bad faith
  • In violation of these Terms or applicable law

Moderation decisions are final and are made to protect the integrity of the community.

7. No Guarantees

Revolution808 provides the Platform “as is”.

We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Feedback quality, frequency, or relevance
  • Platform availability or uptime
  • Creative success, releases, placements, or opportunities

Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

8. Monetisation and Advertising

Use of Revolution808 is free for members.

The Platform may be monetised through:

  • Advertising
  • Sponsorship
  • Other commercial partnerships

We may also seek external investment in the future. These activities do not affect your ownership of User Content.

9. Intellectual Property (Platform)

All Platform branding, design, text, and functionality (excluding User Content) are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied, reused, or distributed without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Loss of opportunity or income
  • Indirect or consequential loss
  • Content posted by users

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, licences granted under Section 4 will end, except where required for legal or technical reasons (e.g., backups).

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
