GRENOBLE, FRANCE — Arturia has announced the release of the MiniLab 37, expanding its popular compact MIDI controller lineup with a larger 37-note velocity-sensitive slim keybed. Priced at £119.00 RRP, the new model introduces a wider pitch range and enhanced two-handed playability while maintaining the compact, desk-friendly footprint of the original 25-key MiniLab 3.
Expanded Playing Surface and Tactile Controls
The core upgrade of the MiniLab 37 is the 37-note keybed, offering an extra octave of range compared to standard micro-controllers. Designed for fast composition, sketching complex melodies, and smoother two-handed workflows, the device bridges the gap between ultra-portable 25-key controllers and larger desktop studio hubs.
The physical control layout remains comprehensive, featuring:
- Pads: 2 banks of 8 velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB backlit pads for finger drumming and clip launching.
- Rotary Encoders & Faders: 8 endless rotary encoders and 4 physical sliders for real-time instrument tweaking and mixer leveling.
- Visual Feedback: A built-in mini display with a clickable browser knob for seamless, screen-free preset selection and parameter tracking.
- Creative Helpers: Built-in arpeggiator, Chord mode, Hold function, and touch-capacitive strips for pitch bend and modulation.
Hybrid Studio and Standalone Connectivity
The MiniLab 37 features custom-written integration scripts for major DAWs, enabling instant, automated mapping for volume levels, transport controls, and parameter adjustments.
Beyond desktop computers, the unit connects directly to iPads via its USB-C port (which also provides bus power). It also features a full-size 5-pin MIDI DIN output, allowing producers to use the controller as a physical master keyboard to drive external, standalone synthesizer hardware. A rear-panel pedal jack is also included, supporting sustain, expression, or footswitch inputs.
Premium Production Software Pack
Every unit ships with a dedicated software production suite. The bundle includes Arturia’s Analog Lab Intro (providing instant pre-mapped access to over 500 vintage synth, keys, and hybrid presets), Ableton Live Lite, UVI Model D, and Native Instruments’ Komplete Select bundle.
